It availed of Westaflex’s experience for the construction of the Federal Environment Agency building in Dessau. It took seven years for the planning and realization and in 2007 this highly modern building was completed. Nearly 600 Westaflex sound absorbing overcurrent components conduct the used air out of the offices into the hallway where they are extracted and the heat contained therein is recovered. This is more economic with regard to the investment and operational costs than the conventional exhaust systems. And safety also wins: In Dessau, Westaflex for the first time used components that automatically close in case of fire.
